AmphetaDesk is a web-based newsfeed reader written in the Perl programming language for Linux, Mac OS 8/OS 9/OS X, and Windows. The most recent update to AmphetaDesk was 0.93.1 for Mac OS X v10.3 on January 5, 2004. The collaborative filtering software AmphetaRate was originally designed for AmphetaDesk, but while it remains compatible, the preferred newsreader is the Java-based RSSOwl. AmphetaDesk is open source because it is licensed under the Artistic License.
