Amy Joanne Robach (born February 6, 1973 in Saint Joseph, Michigan) is a national correspondent for NBC's Today, as well as the co-anchor of their Saturday edition.

Biography

She previously worked at WTTG in Washington, D.C., and came to MSNBC in 2003 where she spent four years, including a stint anchoring two hours in the morning. She was named co-anchor of Weekend Today in July 2007. Since then, she occasionally fills-in as anchor on the weekday edition of the show and the NBC Nightly News. She had also filled in on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

Personal life

Robach was a runner up in the Miss Georgia pageant in 1994.[1] She graduated from Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia, and from the University of Georgia with high honors in Broadcast Journalism. She lived half of her childhood in St. Louis, spent nine years in Georgia, and moved on to South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and the New York area. Amy is a cousin of former Nashville Star contestant Matt Lindahl. In September 2009, Robach became engaged to former Melrose Place star Andrew Shue.[2]
