In 1955 Benny Goodman led one of his finest groups of the decade, a septet with trumpeter Ruby Braff, Paul Quinichette's tenor, trombonist Urbie Green and pianist Teddy Wilson. This three-LP boxed set from the Book of the Month Club includes a beautiful booklet and much swinging music. Although most of the 19 songs that Goodman performs are identified with him, these small-group renditions are fresh and lively with BG drawing inspiration from his talented sidemen.
