Review

Essentially a Nina Simone Colpix box set, the six-CD Eclectic Collection contains all ten albums that the singer released for the label in the late '50s and early '60s. Most of the discs contain two albums each and are presented as follows: Amazing Nina Simone/Nina Simone at Town Hall, Folksy Nina/Nina With Strings, Forbidden Fruit/Nina Simone at Newport, Sings Duke Ellington/At Carnegie Hall, Nina Simone at the Village Gate, and Nina's Choice. Each of the CDs in the Eclectic Collection box has also been issued individually. ~ Wade Kergan, Rovi
