This PBS documentary takes viewers on a delicious trip across the United States to learn about ice cream. Take a look into the business side of ice cream from the big to the small -- from Ben & Jerry's to Carl's of Virginia. See interviews with the experts who sell it, make it, and study it. Places visited include Bassett's in Philadelphia and Matsumoto's in Hawaii. Also included is a history of Howard Johnson's. Viewers see the studies of the science of ice cream conducted at Penn State University and meet entrepreneurs in this huge business. The Ice Cream Show also offers a peek at vintage collectibles from the past.
