'Anakreons Grab'
‘Anakreons Grab’, a short poem written by Goethe probably in 1785 and first published in Goethes Schriften, 1789. It is in elegiac metre and though only six lines long conveys an atmosphere of idyllic harmony and gentle sadness. It has been set to music by Hugo Wolf.
