Anant Mahadevan (Malayalam: ആനന്ദ് മഹാദേവന്, Marathi: अनंत महादेवन), also credited as Ananth Narayan Mahadevan,[1][2] is an actor and director of Marathi and Hindi films and television serials in India, who hails from Kerala,[2] a state in the south. He has acted in Bollywood films since the 1980s playing character/minor roles. He also acted in the television serials The Sword of Tipu Sultan and Ghar Jamai. He got the National Award (2010) for Best Screenplay and Dialogues for the successful Marathi movie Mee Sindhutai Sapkal with Sanjay Pawar. He is currently filming Gaur hari dastan.
