Reconstructionism regards homosexuality as a normative expression of sexuality, and therefore sees no difference between homosexual and heterosexual individuals. In fact, in 2007 the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association chose an open homosexual as its president. Not only does the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association permit its clergymen to perform same-sex ceremonies, but it encourages (without requiring) them to do so.
