The Andean Baroque (Spanish: Barroco andino or arquitectura mestiza) was an artistic style and movement that developed in the Viceroyalty of Peru between 1680 and 1780. It developed from Quito in the north to the Altiplano in the south. The style and movement concerned notably churches, both large cathedrals in the large cities to small rural chapels.
