Andrea Prosperetti is the Charles A. Miller Jr. Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University[1] and the Berkhoff Professor of Applied Physics at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.[2] He is known for his work in the field of multiphase flows including bubble dynamics and cavitation.[3]
Prosperetti received his B.S. in Physics from Universitá di Milano, Italy in 1968. He received his Master's degree in Engineering Science from the California Institute of Technology in 1972 and a doctorate degree, under the supervision of Milton Plesset, from the same University in 1974; both in Engineering Science.
