Andreas de Florentia

(d c1415). Italian composer and organist. He became a Servite monk in 1375 and was prior at Ss Annunziata Florence (1380-97) where he knew Landini, and Pistoia (1393), and led the Tuscan Servites (1407-10). 30 Italian ballate by him survive in MS: some are lively with striking use of imitation.
