Andreas Viklund reached internet fame in 1997, when he started releasing his own music for free on the web in the MP3 format. The music became widely spread very quickly, and when his band (called "Lagoona") uploaded their songs to the largest free music site in the world (MP3.com) in year 2000. It only took two months for Lagoona to reach the #1 spot of the download chart - even though the competition was artists like Madonna, Linkin Park, P. Diddy, Alanis Morisette and Paul Simon.

Living in the small town of Jokkmokk in northern Sweden, Andreas has been mostly unknown in the real world but a familiar name on the web ever since. The music of Lagoona has been spread in more than 10 million copies over the last 9 years, and the music is still free and available on Andreas' website - despite the fact that he has had several record deals over the years.

Since 2004 when Lagoona was put to rest, Andreas has used his creativity on something completely different: Web design, blogging and building free (open source) website templates. On July 25th, Andreas released his first free website template, called "andreas01". It was later followed by more templates, but the andreas01 template became an internet phenomenon itself, being used on more than 200.000 websites all over the world. The popularity of the music and the website templates has created a large interest for Andreas' blog, making it one of the ten highest ranked blogs in the world according to Technorati (measured by number of incoming links). Common topics are web design, artist adventures, personal subjects and stories about the life in northern Sweden. As of November 2006, the blog had approximately 60.000 unique visitors (making approximately 780,000 page views) per month in average.
