Training and performance

Andrew was classically trained from childhood as a pianist and tenor singer. He won music scholarships and entrance bursaries to Westminster Abbey Choir, Uppingham School, the National Youth Music Theatre, St Johns College, Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Before university he had already toured chorally worldwide, and on graduation in 2000 continued on to perform regularly in concerts, global tours and CD recordings for such classical groups as John Eliot Gardiner's Monteverdi Choir, Robert King's The King's Consort, The John Rutter Singers, Synergy, Opera Rara, the London Voices and Metro Voices. These performances covered every style, from contemporary premieres, to session choirs, and baroqoue, classical and avant-garde works.

At Abbey Road and Air Studios he has performed on many film scores, for such conductors as John Williams and Howard Shore - including the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Doomsday, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Golden Compass and A Christmas Carol.

Film and television scoring

Andrew has scored features, drama, short film, advertising, comedy and animation. He worked with Richard Ayoade and Matt Holness on Channel4's Garth Marenghi's Darkplace [1] and Man to Man with Dean Learner, and both comedy series are released to DVD. Other projects have included: CulDeSac (starring actors from The Office); three short films for Purrfect Pictures; The Optician starring Chris Barrie; Pioneer Productions' new film drama Hindenburg: The Untold Story, recreating the 1937 airship disaster, and broadcast in the US, UK and Germany; several documentary series for Discovery, Travel Channel, and National Geographic. For Emmy-nominated film composer Richard Blackford he orchestrated twelve filmscores: Rosamunde Pilcher dramas for ZDF Germany. For Mother Advertising he wrote all songs for Pot Noodle's musicvideo ad campaign (directed by Oscar-Nominated Taika Waititi), and Twenty Twenty Television commissioned six songs for a new internet-based musicvideo project.

Recent projects include Richard Ayoade's comedy feature Submarine, produced by Ben Stiller, feature thriller Cuckoo, starring Richard E Grant, the score released to CD by MovieScoreMedia ; the feature documentary "Four Horsemen"; and the US magical comedy "The Brass Teapot".

Andrew is Associate Member of PRS For Music, and member of the Musicians Union.

He is represented by Los Angeles agent Patty Macmillan (805.844.3966), for both USA and UK features.
