Andrew McCollum is a co-founder of Facebook and an angel investor.[1] He attended Harvard University with co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and others on the founding team. He worked at Facebook from February 2004 to September 2006. Initially, he worked on Wirehog, a file sharing application, with Adam D'Angelo.
McCollum returned to Harvard, and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. McCollum was a member of the Harvard team that competed in the 31st Association for Computing Machinery International Collegiate Programming Contest in Tokyo, having placed second in the regional competitions behind Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[2]

He currently acts as Entrepreneur in Residence at New Enterprise Associates and Flybridge Capital Partners.[4]
McCollum designed Facebook's first logo, and decided to add Peter Wolf's silhouette to the logo.[5][6]
In the first house that Facebook rented in Palo Alto, California, McCollum strung a zip line wire from the chimney on top of the house to a telephone pole beyond a pool, allowing people to slide down and drop into the pool with a splash.[7]
Zuckerberg and McCollum attended a meeting with Sequoia Capital in pajama bottoms and a T-shirt as a practical joke, a stunt that was featured in the movie, The Social Network.[8]
