Biography
Andrew Stevens, the son of actress Stella Stevens, entered the family business in 1976, appearing with his mom in Las Vegas Lady. Within a few years, the younger Stevens was one of the most sought-after beefcake leads in Hollywood, starring in such films as Massacre at Central High (1976), The Fury (1978) and The Boys in Company C (1978), and appearing in the regular role of Andrew Thorpe on the 1977 TV western The Oregon Trail. His stardom was secured when he played the central role of Phillip Kent in the syndicated miniseries The Bastard (1978) and its equally well-received follow-up, The Rebels (1979). Stevens' subsequent TV gigs included the weekly series Code Red (1981, as Ted Rorchek), Emerald Point NAS (1983-84, as Lt. Glenn Mathews) and Dallas (1987 season only, as Casey Denault). He was briefly married to actress Kate Jackson, with whom he starred in a 1979 TV-movie remake of Topper. In recent years, Andrew Stevens has both starred in and directed several low-budget thrillers, among them Terror Within 2 (1990), Night Eyes 3 (1993), and Scorned (1994), and has also directed episodes of such weekly TVers as Silk Stalkings, Swamp Thing, and Walker: Texas Ranger. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Career
Prior to his producing career, Stevens was a writer, director, and actor. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance in 1978's The Boys in Company C (Columbia Pictures). [2] In 1977, Stevens played 17-year-old Andrew Thorpe on the NBCwestern series, The Oregon Trail. The program filmed only thirteen episodes, seven of which never aired.[3]
In the early 1990, Stevens left the public eye to become an independent entrepreneur writing, producing, directing and financing his own films for his own companies. His longest tenure as a film executive was as President/CEO of Franchise Pictures, which produced films for Warner Bros. from 1997 through 2002.
In 2001, Stevens was named one of the most prolific producers in Hollywood in the Hollywood Reporter trade magazine. His production credits include films for wide studio theatrical release such as The Whole Nine Yards starring Bruce Willis (Warner Bros.); The Big Kahuna, starring Kevin Spacey (Lionsgate); films for television such as Topper (ABC), a series based on the film of the same name, in which he appeared opposite Kate Jackson to whom he was then married; The White Raven (for HBO) and numerous direct to video/DVD films starring Steven Seagal, Wesley Snipes, and Dolph Lundgren.

Andrew Stevens and his second wife, Robyn, have three children.
