1903The Log of a Cowboy. Based on Adams's own experiences, the novel renders an authentic account of a cattle drive from Texas to Montana in 1882. Adams is regarded as one of the best chroniclers of cowboy and western life, presented in later works such as The Outlet (1905), Cattle Brands (1906), and Reed Anthony, Cowman (1907).
