Biography
As editor, Diggle is often credited (most frequently by David Bishop, who originally employed him) as having spearheaded a return to the "old school" values of 2000 AD. While at 2000 AD he worked on a number of stories including the Judge Dredd spin-off Lenny Zero with Jock, who he would continue to collaborate with after his move to American comic books.[2]
He is currently working on Batman Confidential, Green Arrow: Year One (again with Jock) [3] as well as unnamed projects including a comic mini-series and a computer game with a Japanese firm. He will also start writing Hellblazer as of issue #230.[4][5] He will also be writing Guy Ritchie's Gamekeeper with Guy Ritchie - part of Virgin Comics' "Director's cut" line. [6] Diggle is also writing the webcomic adaptation of the Bionic Commando game.[7] At San Diego Comic-Con 2008, Andy Diggle was announced as the new writer of Thunderbolts, his first work at Marvel Comics since his Punisher one-shot.[8] The changes in the Thunderbolts were part of the Secret Invasion-aftermath storyline, Dark Reign, and Diggle also wrote a limited series which ties into it, Dark Reign: Hawkeye.[9]
After finishing his run on Hellblazer he will be working on a creator-owned project with Jock.[10] Diggle will be taking over the writing of Daredevil after Ed Brubaker's departure in issue #500.[11][12]
