Andy Robin

Andy Robin is a writer and director who started his career at Saturday Night Live and spent many seasons on NBC's Seinfeld, initially solo, later partnering with collaborator Gregg Kavet. Solo efforts include The Junior Mint; with Kavet The Jimmy and The Fatigues, which won the Writers Guild Award for Episodic Comedy. The duo wrote and directed Live Free or Die, an independent film which won the Jury Prize for best narrative film at the 2006 South By Southwest Film Festival and was awarded the Jury Prize in New American Cinema at the 2006 Seattle International Film Festival. The film has shown significant strength in the DVD rental market. They also wrote the 2005 Simon Spotlight book Saving Face, a humorous guide to awkward social situations.

With Spike Feresten, Jerry Seinfeld, and Barry Marder, Robin wrote Dreamworks' animated film Bee Movie.

Andy grew up in Stamford, Connecticut and went to Riverbank Elementary School, Cloonan Middle School, Westhill High School and Harvard University. He makes his home in Rhode Island. During his elementary school years, Andy participated in an experimental educational program called Project Explorer, where he worked on his first public comedy show with classmates Rob Leven, Matt Terenzio, Neil Gladstone and Otha Nelson.

He's now a student at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
