Andy Samuel was born in Los Angeles, California. He was a child actor who appeared in 30 of the Our Gang short subjects through his three years in the series. Samuel's first Our Gang short subject was Boys to Board. He left as a bit part in the Our Gang short subject was Boys Will Be Joys
Thomas died of cancer in 1992 at the age of 82.
