From 1985 to 1991 Andy Sneap was the guitarist for the classic thrash metal band Sabbat. During that time he recorded three albums with them, producing two of them himself. After Sabbat disbanded he founded the thrash metal band Godsend, a project that lasted two years before splitting due to lack of success. From 2001 to 2002 he was the guitarist for the heavy metal band Fozzy (featuring wrestler Chris Jericho and Rich Ward from Stuck Mojo). Since their reunion in 2006 he is again a member of Sabbat and since 2008 he's also become the guitarist for Hell, whose album Human Remains reached #46 on the German album chart in 2011.
Currently Andy Sneap works out of his own studio, Backstage Studios, housed in a converted farm in Derbyshire, which he founded in 1994. He received a Swedish Grammy for his work on Opeth's Deliverance album, as well as US Grammy nominations for his work on Killswitch Engage's The End of Heartache, Megadeth's Endgame "Sudden Death". He also produced Accept's reunion album Blood of the Nations, and their latest release Stalingrad.
