Ang Panday (English: The Blacksmith) is a 2009 Filipino action fantasy film that adapts Carlo J. Caparas' Panday comics. It was directed by Rico Gutierrez and Mac Alejandre, the film adaptation stars Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Phillip Salvador and Iza Calzado. It was released in December 25, 2009.
Revilla previously starred as a version of the title character, Flavio the blacksmith, in the film Dugo ng Panday (Blood of the Blacksmith, 1993). Phillip Salvador, who plays the antagonist Lizardo, portrayed Flavio in a television series adaptation of Ang Panday (2005).

Media Release
The series was released onto DVD-format and VCD-format by VIVA Video. The DVD contained the movie plus the full-length trailer of the movie. The DVD/VCD was released in 2010.

In this upcoming 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival, Ang Panday 2, directed by Mac Alejandre and with the returning stars, Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Iza Calzado and Phillip Salvador and with the new character who fulfilled by Marian Rivera will be release in December 25, 2011.[6]
