(b Castano Primo, 17 Oct 1930). Italian composer. He studied at the Milan Conservatory, where he teaches, and worked from 1956 at the Milan electronic music studio; he also leads Ars Antiqua, an early music ensemble. His works, in many genres, are concerned with the condition of men in the contemporary world and are often violent and dramatic.
