Biography

British foursome Angelou was formed in the mid-'90s by talented singer/guitarist Holly Lerski and guitarist Jo Baker, making their debut with the Hallelujah EP, released in 1997 by Heaven Records. A year later, Calum MacColl produced Angelou's debut album, Automiracles. After bassist Chris Evans joined in, While You Were Sleeping came out, followed by the Sleepy Tour around the U.K. In 2001, Spanish label El Diablo released a compilation called Midnight Witcheries, allowing the band to be heard throughout Europe. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
