angular motion

Rotation of a body or body part about a fixed point or line in space (the axis of rotation) so that all parts of the body travel through the same angle, in the same direction, in the same time. The axis of rotation maybe internal or external (i.e. it may or may not pass through the body itself. Compare linear motion.
