Li Yi Shuan (born January 17, 1995 in Bangkok, Thailand) is a Taiwanese actress and model based in the Philippines. She was one of the Teenternational Housemates of a Pinoy reality show in ABS-CBN Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010^[1] as the Diligent Daughter of Taiwan.

Personal life

Ann is of pure Chinese descent. Her mom is a Taiwanese-Chinese while her dad is pure Chinese. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand but she grew up in the Philippines. Life has been hard for them(her mother's side) until her aunt who got famous as an actress in Taiwan took them under her wing back in the 1960s.

Ann was the first to admit that she is not an academic person. She'd rather learn other stuff like ballet, jazz, figure skating, acting and even photography. She was 8 years old when she started to like skating.

With all the talents that she possesses, one would think that she has a lot of friends who held high regards for her, but back when she was still studying in an international school in Manila, she experienced a lot of bullying from her classmates. She was home schooled so as to pursue her likes and to stay away from troubles too, after getting into the showbiz industry she took the ALS exam and got a percentage of 99 which made her accelerate high school when she was only 16. She is now taking up a short term course for Fashion Design at the School of Fashion.

Ann's personal interests: Her hobbies are Ice Skating, Badminton, Ice Hockey, Basketball. Her Favorite color is Pink, favorite foods are Pasta, Chicken, Chinese Cuisine, Italian Cuisine. America's Next Top Model is her favorite Show, Megan Fox is her favorite actress and Taylor Swift, Paramore, MGMT are her favorite singers.^[2]

Career

Ann entered the Pinoy Big Brother house on Day 22 as one of the “teenternational” housemates. After the first set of housemates was merged into one group that lived in one half of the house, Big Brother picked another set of teenagers to live in the other half. Ann was part of that set, which was composed of teenagers without Filipino lineage who live in the Philippines. Her parents are originally from China , but she grew up in the Philippines. Ann was evicted from the Pinoy Big Brother house on Day 75, but aside from the occasional guesting, she hasn’t gotten many chances to showcase her talents. Most of the big breaks have been given to the ex-housemates who made it to the Big 6. But Ann says she doesn’t mind waiting for her own big break—and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

While waiting for her time to shine, Ann is taking workshops so she’ll be more than prepared when that time does come. She’s already an accomplished dancer (she trained in ballet and jazz even before she became a housemate) and figure skater, plus she’s taking voice lessons at the Grand Palace in Cubao. One of the things that caught viewers’ attention during Ann’s run on the show was her friendship with James Reid. She and James have a very devoted fanbase called the JamLi Poppers,^[3] who threw a lavish party in their idols’ honor recently. When asked if she wants to be paired with James in a project, Ann says it’s really up to the Kapamilya network’s top brass to decide. But whether or not her future projects will see her paired with James, Ann says she’s ready for whatever opportunities ABS-CBN will see fit to give her.^[4]

Achievements

The Shorty Awards, hailed as the Oscars of Twitter by The New York Times, announced the winners in 36 categories last March 28, 2011 in New York City. Of the winners, Ann Li took home the award for Fashion, emerging as the winner with the most votes out of 1,861 nominees, which include Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, Neil Patrick Harris and even Glee guest star Charice.^[5]

After Ann emerged as the winner in the Fashion category of the 3rd Shorty Awards, few months ago she decided with her friend, Danielle Baron to made a clothing line called DNA.

Not only in fashion, Ann also joined the Skate Manila 2010 and she got the gold medal in the rhythmic events and a silver in the artistic events.

OCTOBER 2011

This October 1, 2011 Ann Li got the "Ultimate Female Teen Fashionista" in a poll site "Piece of Speaks" a blog confirms a straight to the point topics about Philippines favorite actors and actresses^[6] which Ann Li earn 2,548 votes. Ann Li beats 5 contenders for the Ultimate Teen Fashionista. It is quoted on the blog that Ann Li won because she do have her own style with an aura of a princess and most of here outfits and dresses are unique and attractive to dazzle. She proves to be a genuine fashionista and designer. Fortunately, all of her design from herself is worthy to wear since it is acknowledged by others.^[7]

After winning as Piece of Speak’s Ultimate Female Teen Fashionista. And now, Ann gets the recognition for "Most Popular Teen Star of 2011". It was on October 4, when she was claimed as the Most Popular Teen Star of 2011 in the site "EnteRvrexWorld", an Ultimate Philippines entertainment poll site.^[8] Ann accomplished 181,325 total points out from poll votes, Facebook likes and comment posting.^[9]

2012

Ann Li is one of Top 100 Philippine Artists of 2011. The result of voting was revealed in the day of January 4, 2012. She made it to top 96 in the site "EnteRvrexWorld".^[10]

Stage Play

Ann Li had a Stage Play with Patrick Sugui a PBB Teen Clash alumni like her. Her character here is Alicia, the leading lady. Basketball Fight is the title and it is directed by Mel Magno. November 19, 2011 the starting of play at SM Sta. Mesa
