Du Noyer, Anne-Marguerite, née Petit, (c.1663-1720). Protestant who spent years, before and after her marriage to Guillaume du Noyer, outside France fleeing religious persecution. She edited a periodical, La Quintessence des nouvelles (1711). Her Lettres historiques et galantes (1713) prefigure the Lettres persanes. Her pseudo-memoirs (1720) are a rich source for the history of private life.
