• Markland Wood Environmental Day Clean Up is held in conjunction with the city of Toronto Community Clean Up Day.

• Cabbagetown Forsythia Festival - Held the first Sunday in May.

• Anime North - Usually held the weekend following Victoria Day, although some times during the long weekend.
• Markland Wood Annual Community Garage Sale is held on the Saturday following Victoria Day, which is usually the last Saturday in May every year with hundreds of homes participating.

• Luminato a festival of arts and creativity established in 2007

• North by Northeast, an annual five-day live music and film festival and music conference

• Toronto Loyal Orange Lodge Parade Oldest annual parade anywhere in North America, since 1821, celebrating Ulster-Scot heritage
• Caribana is North America's largest street festival, showcasing Caribbean/West Indian culture (in some years early August).

• Roncylicious, a showcase of the diverse flavours of Roncesvalles Avenue, running August 4th through 31st, with over thirty participating businesses. [1]
• The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE, or "the Ex").
• The Taste of the Danforth festival showcases the mostly Greek culture of The Danforth and has expanded to include other cultures of the area.
• The Mabuhay Philippines Toronto Summer Festival- the largest celebration of Philippine heritage and culture in Canada.
• Festival of South Asia - A festival of the South Asian culture of Gerrard India Baazaar.
• Muslim Fest- Festival Celebrating the Best in Muslim Art & Entertainment - Annual Festival Celebrating the Best in Muslim Art & Entertainment.
• Toronto International Dance Festival
• Toronto Buskerfest- A festival of Street Performers.
• Taiwanfest previously known as TCF (Taiwanese Cultural Festival).
• Toronto's Festival of Beer- Toronto Beerfest in Historic Fort York.
• Markland Wood Annual Family Fun Day is held on the second Saturday in August, celebrating summer with clowns, The Toronto Police and Firefighters, games, face painting and lunch.

• Italian Walk of Fame - Stars unveiled annually every Labour Day on College Street in the heart of Little Italy.

• Markland Wood Annual Community Social is held on the third Friday to celebrate the Markland Wood residential community's outreach.
• Queen West Art Crawl - A yearly celebration of artists and art lovers on the hippest street in Canada. From Bathurst to Roncesvalles. September 16th - 19th, 2010.
• Toronto Vegetarian Food Fair - Considered the largest in North America, held annually at Harbourfront Centre.

• EKRAN Toronto Polish Film Festival - an annual event dedicated to the promotion of Polish film, art and culture
• Nuit Blanche Toronto - an all-night free celebration of contemporary art
• The Toronto Waterfront Marathon - run along the waterfront starting and ending in downtown Toronto
• Canada's Walk of Fame Induction - Induction Ceremonies for the walk of fame that acknowledges the achievements and accomplishments of successful Canadians. Ceremony can occur in July to October.
• Toronto Fashion Week - Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oréal Paris is the premiere fashion event in Canada started in 1998 which brings together media, industry, buyers and consumers to view the season’s collections in the Fashion Capital of Canada, Toronto.
• International Festival of Authors
• Toronto International Antiquarian Book Fair - The Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of Canada presents the only international antiquarian and collectible book fair in Canada, featuring dealers from across Europe and North America.

• The Toronto Santa Claus Parade (Started in 1904 with just a single float, it now boasts over 24 floats, 24 bands, and 1700 participants. It is one of the biggest productions in North America, and broadcast to many countries around the world.)

• The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, an annual fall fair started in 1922.

• Markland Wood Annual Christmas Caravan & Food Drive with food, clothing, toys and money going to various charities. Most years there is over 17 thousand pounds of food collected for the Toronto food banks.
