Review

Chore's heavy-as-a-brick sound is also energetic, melodic, and furious, often growing in intensity but never spilling over into bursts of chaos. Another Plebeian is like a glimpse into a mind -- from suppressed rage to hopeless despair -- on the verge of a mental meltdown. Another Plebeian shifts from mellow to frantic -- even showing hints of pop and punk -- but rarely strays from its restrained rage. Ranging from painful rants ("Onloan Pacifier," "Backyard," "Serving Fluids") to somber dwellings ("Webster," "Liars Club") and fits of bitter anger ("It's All, It's Old," "Accept the Ruin"), Another Plebeian leaves you emotionally drained, yet strangely satisfied. ~ Gina Boldman, Rovi
