Not only does this album highlight the power of the second witness of Christ -- The Book of Mormon -- but it adds further testimony that Afterglow writes solid faith-promoting music. Fans of the McCausland/Peay duo may likely find this the peak of the group's work, citing the melodies from "Victory of Truth," "The Light Will Lead," and "Caring for the One" as ample evidence. The album sounds similar to Afterglow's other material: bright harmonies accompanied by an orchestra. In a rare moment, however, the two vocalists ditch their backup on "Prepare to Meet the Lord" for an appeasing a cappella reminder that, one day, "If we are ready we shall see His face." It is also one of five tracks included on The Best of Afterglow, Vol. 2: Original Favorites. Gospel themes of service and standing for the Lord weave themselves into nearly every tune. The gold plates on the album cover are indicative of the treasures available to listeners. ~ Jared Johnson, Rovi
