ANR National Award

The ANR National Award was instituted by the Akkineni International foundation in the honor of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The award was given annually to recognize people for their lifetime achievements and contributions to the Indian film industry. ^[1][2] ANR National Award was first awarded to veteran bollywood actor Dev Anand in 2006.

• 2010: Dr. K. Balachander, Writer, Director and Producer (Padmashri awardee)
• 2009: Dr. Vyjayanthimala, Bollywood and Tamil cinema actress, dancer, choreographer, singer, golf player and parliamentarian (Padmashri awardee)
• 2009: Lata Mangeshkar, Playback singer, music director and producer (Bharat Ratna awardee)
• 2008: Anjali Devi, Telugu/ Tamil actress and producer
• 2007: Shabana Azmi, Hindi actress and parliamentarian (Padma Bhushan awardee)
• 2006: Dev Anand, Hindi actor, director and producer (Padma Bhushan awardee)
