Anson Road is a road in the Central Business District, Singapore. It was built in 1879 and is named after Major-General Sir Archibald Anson, a former Lieutenant-Governor of Penang, and probably also after Commodore George Anson, Naval Commander of Far East Squadron in 1815.[1]

Buildings along Anson Road include the Anson Centre (build in 1971), Anson House, Apex Towers, Springleaf Tower, the International Plaza, M-Hotel, Fuji Xerox Towers and Temasek Tower.
