Review

With Anthology you can get an overview of Gaye's Motown work without having to plunk the money down for The Marvin Gaye Collection boxed set. The two-disc set contains most of his major hits (although the number one hit "Let's Get It On" appeared only on CD editions of Anthology), including "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)," "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)," "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," "Trouble Man," "I'll Be Doggone," "What's Going On," "Hitch Hike," "Can I Get a Witness," and "Pride and Joy," as well as his numerous duets with Kim Weston and Tammi Terrell, like "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Ain't Nothing like the Real Thing," "It Takes Two," and "Your Precious Love." ~ All Music Guide, Rovi
