anticircular chromatography

Top

a technique of thin-layer chromatography in which the substances to be separated are applied just inside the perimeter of a circular thin-layer plate and are made to travel radially inwards by subsequent application of the developing solvent at the edge of the plate. It is very fast and is particularly useful for the resolution of substances whose Rf values approach unity. Compare circular chromatography.
