Frasconi, Antonio (
äntō'nyō fräskō'nē), 1919-, American graphic artist, b. Montevideo, Uruguay. Frasconi emigrated to the United States in 1945, where he has had an influential and revitalizing effect on the art of woodblock printing. His gaily colored, forceful prints of everyday scenes and activities are in many public and private collections. He has designed covers for books, magazines, and records.
