Antony and Cleopatra ballets
Antony and Cleopatra's historic love affair has inspired several ballets including Noverre's (Ludwigsburg, 1765), Aumer's (mus. Kreutzer, Paris, 1808), Igor Tchernichov's (mus. E. Lazarev, Leningrad, 1968), dell'Ara's (mus. Prokofiev, Milan, 1971) and B. Stevenson's (mus. Rimsky-Korsakov arr. Lanchberg, 2000.
