Anura Punchi Banda Tennekoon (born 29 October 1946 in Anuradhapura) was a Sri Lankan cricketer. He was educated at the prestigious S.Thomas College in Mt. Lavinia. Tennekoon was a regular member of the Sri Lanka side in the years before they achieved Test status and was widely regarded as one of their great batsmen. He made his ODI debut in 1975 against New Zealand at Nottingham. He played in the 1975 and 1979 world cups.
He was the chief executive of the Sri Lankan cricket board from 2000 to 2003.
