AOL Broadband is a UK internet service provider and part of the TalkTalk Group.[1]
The UK ISP side of AOL was bought by The Carphone Warehouse in October 2006 for $688m (£370m) to take advantage of their 100,000 LLU customers which made The Carphone Warehouse the biggest LLU provider in the UK.[2][3]
The deal included an agreement to continue customers access to the AOL portal content.[4]
Services were provided by the Luxembourgian subsidiary of The Carphone Warehouse, TPH Services SÀRL.[5] Since 1 December 2009 all new customers or existing customers taking on a new package, and all customers from 1 January 2010, enter into an agreement with and have their internet access subscription services provided by TalkTalk Telecom Limited, trading as AOL Broadband.[6]
