The Destroyer; -- a name used (Rev. ix. 11) for the angel of the bottomless pit, answering to the Hebrew Abaddon.


Apollyon (əpŏl'yən) [Gr.,=Destroyer], in the Book of Revelation, name of the angel of the bottomless pit. See Satan; hell.


The destroying angel or prince of the underworld (Rev. 9:11), synonymous with Abaddon.
