Apororhynchida is an order containing one family, Apororhynchidae, [1] and one genus, Apororhynchus, [1] of microscopic parasitic worms that attach themselves to the intestinal wall of terrestrial vertebrates.

Species

  • Apororhynchus aculeatus Meyer, 1931[2]

Has been found infecting Oriolis cristatus in Brazil.[3]

  • Apororhynchus amphistomi Byrd and Denton, 1949[4][5]

Has been found infecting the Canada warbler (Wilsonia canadensis) in Virginia and the Parula warbler (Compsothlysis americana) in Georgia.[6]

  • Apororhynchus chauhani Sen, 1975[9]
  • Apororhynchus hemignathi Shipley, 1899[10]

Has been found infecting the Honey creeper (Hemignathus procerus) in Hawaii.[11]
