Appenzeller Reimchronik, a Middle High German account in verse of the war of liberation (Appenzeller Krieg) which the peasants of Appenzell successfully waged between 1401 and 1404 against the Austrian Abbot of St Gall. The unknown author, whose literary gifts were slender, has adhered faithfully to the facts.
