Aracena is a town and municipality located in the province of Huelva, Spain. According to the 2007 census, the city has a population of 7,351 inhabitants.

The Gruta de las Maravillas is located in the town and is one of the most spectacular cave systems in Spain. The caves are located below the hill on which stands Aracena Castle. The caves are said to have been found by a boy looking for a lost pig. Several caverns and lakes are linked by narrow passages. Coloured lighting adds to the effects of the unusual formations of minerals. In the complex is an interesting, geological museum.
