Albert Franz Josef Karl Friedrich Georg Hubert Maria, Archduke and Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary and Bohemia, Duke of Teschen (In German: Erzherzog Albert Franz Josef Karl Friedrich Georg Hubert Maria von Österreich-Toskana, Herzog von Teschen) – (24 July 1897 – 23 July 1955) was a member of the House of Habsburg and titular pretender to the Duchy of Teschen.
Early life
Archduke Albrecht Franz was born at Vienna, Austria-Hungary, only son of Archduke Friedrich, Duke of Teschen (1856–1936), (son of Archduke Karl Ferdinand of Austria and Archduchess Elisabeth Franziska of Austria) and his wife, Princess Isabella of Croÿ (1856–1931), (daughter of Rudolf, Duke of Croÿ and Princess Natalie of Ligne).
Marriages
On 16 August 1930 Albrecth Franz married morganatically in Brighton, England, Irene Dora Lelbach (1897–1985), daughter of Johann Lelbach and Ilma Skultéty. They had no issue. They divorced on 1 June 1937.[1]
He married secondly, on 7 May 1938 in Budapest to Katalin Bocskay de Felsö-Bánya (1909–2000), daughter of Béla Bocskay de Felsö-Banya and Eszter Farkas. They had two daughters, following the rules of morgantic marriages they do not inherit the title of their father, in this case Archduchess; Otto von Habsburg gave permission to entitle them as Countess von Habsburg (Gräfin von Habsburg). They divorced on 1951.[1]
- Charlotte Izabella Mária Krisztine Eszter Katalin Pia, Countess von Habsburg (born 3 March 1940), married in 1967 to Ferdinand Joseph Wutholen, had issue.
- Ildiko Katalin Izabella Henriette Alice Mária, Countess von Habsburg (born 19 February 1942), married firstly in 1963 to Joseph J. Calleja, had issue; divorced in 1978. Married secondly in 1982 to Terry D. Fortier, had issue.
He married thirdly, on 1951 in Buenos Aires to Lydia Strauss-Dorner, daughter of Bela Dorner and Mitzy.[2] They had one son:
- Count Rudolf Stefan von Habsburg, (born 1951); the fact of his birth is only mentioned in some sources, while others questioned the mere existence.[3]
