Archie J. Sykes (24 September 1866 – 26 August 1957) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club, and was involved in the club's 1897 premiership win.[1]
Sykes played for Essendon for 7 years in the then VFA, between 1889–1896, bar 1891. Sykes was involved in 3 Essendon VFA premierships, in 1892-3-4. After Essendon joined the new Victorian Football League, Sykes played with the Bombers for one season (1897) where they won the premiership, before retiring at the end of 1897. Sykes also represented Victoria in 1893.[1]
