Group of Japanese architects (including Aida, Azuma, Takamitsu, Takeyama founded in 1971. Opposed to the incipient totalitarianism of Modernism (and especially Metabolism), the group (based on the journal of the same name) promoted contradiction, discontinuity, individualism, and pluralism.
