Review

As the title suggests, Arcoiris Musical Mexicano, Vol. 3 celebrates Mexico's popular music with 25 more songs from some of the country's leading banda, grupero, norteño and pop acts, including Los Tigres del Norte's "Me Declaro Culpable," Banda El Recodo's "Y Llegaste Tú," Alicia Villarreal's "Te Quedó Grande la Yegua," Los Angeles De Charly's "Me Vas a Recordar," and Chuy Vega's "Palabras Hermosas." From the festive, whimsical sounds of Los Huracanes del Norte's "El Celular" to Ana Barbara's smoothly romantic "Te Regalo la Lluvia," the collection spans many of the artists and styles that define Mexico's music. Tracks by Yesenia Flores, Pedro Fernández, Jessie Morales, and Los Rieleros del Norte round out Arcoiris Musical Mexicano, Vol. 3, which offers a good representation of contemporary trends in Mexican pop. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
