Argun (Russian: Аргу́н; Chechen: Устрада) is a town in the Chechen Republic, Russia, located on the Argun River. Population: 29,528 (2010 Census preliminary results);[3] 25,698 (2002 Census);[6] 25,491 (1989 Census);[7] 22,000 (1968).
Administratively, it is incorporated as the town of republic significance of Argun—an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.[1] Municipally, the town of republic significance of Argun is incorporated as Argun Urban Okrug.[2]
