Processing more than 6 million documents annually and receiving more than 4 million individual payments, The Arizona Department of Revenue collects three main types of taxes, individual income, corporate income, and transaction privilege (required for doing certain kinds of business in the state). Besides collecting taxes, the department provides other tax-related services for Arizona residents. The Property Tax Division oversees the administration of property tax laws by county assessors. Other services include the return of unclaimed property and processing applications for new business licenses.
