Published in Warsaw this illustrated Polish periodical of art and design sought to promote modern design to a broader readership than catered for by journals for design and architectural professionals. It adopted a ‘Regionalist’ position—one that endorsed the search for a modern architectural and design style which respected local materials (such as timber), modes of construction, and geographical environment rather than the more austere functionalist aesthetic of the International Style.
