A busy presence in Hollywood films of the 1930s and 1940s, Sicilian-born Armand "Curly" Wright's hairdo resembled that of Larry Fine. Rarely billed, Wright (born Rao) seems to have been called in whenever a producer needed an excitable fruit peddler, hot dog or news vendor, or Italian barber. Onscreen in America from around 1932, Wright seems to have retired in the late '40s. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide
