Arnold(us Christian Vlok) van Wyk
(b nr Calvinia, 26 April 1916; d Bellville, Cape, 27 May 1983). South African composer. A pupil of Holland at the RAM, he taught at the universities of Cape Town (1949-60) and Stellenbosch (from 1961). His works include orchestral pieces, chamber music and songs in an essentially tonal style.
